The southwest corner of England is largely untouched by development or industry. The gentle hills of Devonshire remain verdant pasture, grazed by wild ponies, cattle, and black-faced sheep. The elfin-wooded valleys cradle clusters of thatched cottages - delightful little villages like Sticklepath and Widecombe-in-the-Moor with flowering gardens, which create images of a fairytale land.
