It’s not Paris – the vibe is too relaxed – though Avenue Louise and Grand Sablon ooze chic. It’s not New York – high rise buildings don’t eat up the skyline – unless you count the filigree grandeur of the Hôtel de Ville’s Grand’ Place spires. Brussels blends Latin exuberance in its terrasse cafés with a cosy, comfortable feeling where it’s ok to coddle a beer in corner. You can feel at home here in an English-speaking, life loving environment. Though if you want to practise French and reach an unforgettable city in less than 2 hours, vas y!
