And with an entire bus-load of reasons why these trips are becoming so popular, it is easy to see why more than eight million people will clamber aboard a coach this year for an exciting UK break or to tour some of the most stunning sites and cities the continent has to offer.

Not only are the coaches like cruise ships on wheels, in which you can kick back in air-conditioned comfort and soak up the scenery while sailing through the countryside, you can also bring as much luggage as you like and get to stay in a range of cosy hotels along the way.

The tours also tend to include all meals and daily excursions, which you can duck out of if you want a little free time, and most will even pick you up from your front door – or very close by.
