Littlecote House, set in 113 acres of gardens and rolling parkland, is located near Hungerford in the Royal county of Berkshire. Built in the mid-1500s, this beautiful Grade I listed Tudor manor has a truly unique story. History is literally on your doorstep: the stunning location has played host to occupying Romans, a Tudor tryst and even a Civil War army. This tour also features a fabulous included excursion to Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum and Village. Lacock Abbey is located in the centre of the village and was founded in the 13th century and dissolved in 1539. Later, it became a quirky country house of various architectural styles within its own woodland grounds. It was a home for the Talbot family, including William Henry Fox Talbot 19th century, famous for his contributions towards the invention of the photographic negative.nn.
