Your Itinerary
DAY 1 - After joining your holiday coach, you will travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue into France and the overnight hotel stop near Troyes. BBnnDAY 2 - Relax and watch the rural French scenery unfold on the way to Switzerland for a one night stay - clear air, mountains and lakes awaits. Overnight at the spectacularly located Seeblick Höhenhotel overlooking Lake Luzern. Buffet dinner with mineral water and tea / coffee is included tonight. NB Crusader guestrooms are located in the chalet-style Waldhaus, a flat 2-minute walk from the main hotel. DBBDAY 3 - After a leisurely breakfast continue through Alpine Switzerland and into Italy en-route to Bardolino, your holiday base for the next five nights. Your holiday price includes porterage on arrival plus afternoon tea and cakes daily (16.00 - 17.00). DBBDAY 4 - 7 - At leisure in Bardolino with three included excursions. Bardolino is one of the top destinations selected by visitors to Lake Garda and town is just a short stroll from the hotel along the lakeside promenade. It lies at the foot of rolling hills covered with orchards, olive groves and the vineyards for which the town is so famous. Spend a day at leisure enjoying its medieval, traffic-free centre. Its main square is full of inviting pavement cafés where you can simply relax and enjoy a glass of the locally produced wine. The cosmopolitan promenade stretches for 3km along the lakefront to neighbouring Garda. From the coach park there, you will make your way into Venice by private boat. To add to a truly memorable day, enjoy an included guided walking tour of Venice and an optional gondola ride may also be available (full details and price available locally). Malcesine is one of the most attractive towns on the whole lake and has, for decades, drawn writers and artists with its picture perfect setting and historic castle. For a spectacular view over Lake Garda there is nothing to beat a ride on the Malcesine cableway (costs not included) which rises to 1600 metres in just ten minutes to the top of Monte BaldoRomeo & Juliet's VeronanJourney to the magnificent old city of Verona, famous for Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Bordered on three sides by the River Adige, the streets of Verona's ancient centre follow the layout of the Roman city. Upon arrival you may either explore the city on your own or join the optional guided city tour by coach and then on foot.
