Renowned for his spectacular extravaganzas like no other, André Rieu continues to mesmerise fans across the world with his mix of emotional ballads, iconic waltzes and witty showmanship. Come and discover what makes the violin maestro’s concerts so magical, live in the picturesque Vrijthof Square and set against the backdrop of Maastricht’s charming Old Town.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Journey to Belgium/Germany/the NetherlandsWe catch the ferry to Calais and travel on to check in at our hotel, where we stay on a bed and breakfast basis.Day 2 - Maastricht & André Rieu concertToday we enjoy some free time or a visit to a nearby place of interest, depending on the location of our hotel. Upon our return, there's plenty of time to freshen up before setting off for Maastricht, where we enjoy some time at leisure. Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, full of churches, city walls, merchant houses and big squares. There are also plenty of shops, from chic boutiques to larger shopping malls, and restaurants to find somewhere for dinner (not included).nnThis evening will be the highlight of our break when we head to Vrijthof Square for the spectacular open-air André Rieu concert. The violin maestro will perform his most celebrated waltzes, along with other spellbinding classical music, plus a surprise or two; made even more special in the setting of André's hometown. After the show we rejoin the coach and return to the hotel.Day 3 - Amsterdam, Brussels or CologneDepending on our hotel location, today we travel to either picturesque Amsterdam, Brussels or Cologne. There is plenty to do in Amsterdam, the city of canals, bicycles, cafés and so much more. Stroll through the atmospheric lanes and quarters in search ofstroopwafels, explore the famous museums such as the Anne Frank Museum, a thoughtful exhibition of the famous war-diarist's life, or take a leisurely canal cruise.nnBelgium's capital of Brussels is renowned for its beautiful cobbled central square, Grand-Place, lined with exquisite buildings. The city is also well-known for its food and drink, especially its tempting chocolate and numerous types ofbeers, available in the many bars and eateries!nnThose heading to Cologne can tick off a whole host of iconic sights too, including the UNESCO World Heritage Cathedral and the spectacular range of Picasso paintings in the Museum Ludwig. We have time to choose a local restaurant for dinner before returning to our hotel.Day 4 - Journey homeAfter breakfast we check out of our hotel and head back to Calais for our return ferry home.
Maastricht
Lying close to the border of Belgium and known as the birthplace of the Euro, the city of Maastricht is the capital of Holland's southernmost region, Limburg. It is one of the country's oldest cities, reflected in the historic centre of ancient churches, city walls, monumental merchant houses and charming squares. Maastricht is a delight to explore all year round, but it comes alive during the festive period. The annual Christmas Market provides plenty of Christmas cheer, where the bustling squares are filled with delightful stalls selling gifts and delicious locally-made treats.
Amsterdam
Often referred to as the “Venice of the North” because of its beautiful canals that criss-cross the city, Amsterdam offers visitors an attractive mix of charming architecture, history, culture, and pavement cafés. Why not take a trip to Amsterdam and enjoy the laid back atmosphere?
Amsterdam's delightful architecture can be seen across the city but particularly in the canal district which dates from the 17th century, with a number of different boat tours available to take you around the many pretty tree-lined canals.
Brussels
Also known as the capital of Europe, Brussels is a prestigious city offering a wide range of attractions to be enjoyed on our coach breaks, all historical, political & modern from the heritage of its vast range of museums and political venues to spectacular events and festive celebrations.nnAn unmistakable symbol of Brussels and Belgium is the brilliant craftsmanship of the Atomium - a model of an elementary iron crystal atom enlarged 165 billion times, whereby you can walk through the tunnels and spheres of the atom, devoted to science, design and society.
Cologne
Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany, situated on the picturesque landscape of the Rhine River and is known for being a media, tourism and business hotspot with various attractions to be enjoyed on our coach breaks from its gothic architecture to their brilliant Lights Festival & Christmas Markets.
