Day 1 After joining your holiday coach, head to Warwickshire with a scenic meander through some of the charming villages of the Northern Cotswolds - Chipping Norton, renowned for its antique shops and Moreton-in-Marsh with its chocolate box houses, built mainly of the honey-coloured stone. Check in to the 4* Chesford Grange Hotel with porterage on arrival. Perhaps compare notes this evening when you meet for a glass of Prosecco before dinner.nnDay 2 - 3 At leisure in Warwickshire with two included excursionsnnINCLUDED EXCURSIONSnBaddesley Clinton & WarwicknDiscover a secluded, intimate estate set in the heart of the Forest of Arden with 500 years of fascinating and unexpected stories. Baddesley Clinton is a moated manor house with late medieval, Tudor and 20th-century histories and was the home of the Ferrers family for 500 years. The house was also a sanctuary not for persecuted Catholics who were hidden from priest hunters in its secret hiding places during the 1590s. Take a stroll around the gardens from the walled garden to the vegetable patch and beyond; the gardens at Baddesley look beautiful whatever the season. NB there are gravel paths and some uneven surfaces. The ground floor of the house is accessible. Later pop into compact Warwick, famous for its massive castle (entrance not included), but it also possesses several charming streetscapes erected in the aftermath of a great fire in 1694.nnCharlecote Park & Stratford-upon-AvonnCharlecote House is a grand property and was a family home for more than 900 years, before its transformation in the 1800s into one of the finest examples of Elizabethan Revival style by its owners Mary Elizabeth and George Hammond Lucy. In the parkland, Jacob sheep and fallow deer roam across the landscape designed by 'Capability' Brown, and there is also a formal parterre overlooking the River Avon and shady woodland garden NB The ground floor of the house is accessible. Later head into Stratford-upon-Avon, the popular, thriving market town with more than 800 years of history containing many buildings that survive to day and would have been familiar to Shakespeare,nnDay 4 - After a relaxed breakfast, it time to check out and head homewards with a stop en-route before interchange.
