Your Itinerary
Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head northwards stopping for the opportunity of lunch or refreshments. Continue to your hotel located outside Liverpool to arrive late afternoon. 3 nights DBB\n\nDay 2 - This morning head into the centre of Liverpool to board a Mersey Ferries River Explorer Cruise (50-minutes), a 'must do' experience for any visitor to Liverpool. Learn about the fascinating history of the River Mersey and enjoy incredible views of the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront and city skyline from the deck of the famous Mersey Ferry. Afterwards there is an included visit to the award-winning Beatles Story, an incredible immersive journey which tells the story of how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to the dizzy heights of fame and fortune from their humble childhood beginnings. Replicas of the Casbah, Mathew Street, Abbey Road Studios and The Cavern authentically capture the early '60s, allowing you to personally experience the very places that helped make The Beatles the greatest band in the world. This gem of a museum also features over 1000 rare and authentic items of memorabilia.\n\nDay 3 - Today the choice is yours. Either spend the day at leisure back in Liverpool to explore more of the city under your own steam (return transfers included) or take advantage of the optional excursion and head up the coast to live the beach life at the seaside resort of Southport.\n\nLiverpool - There are many innovative museums and galleries to visit as well as a cathedral (and one to spare!). Liverpool city centre is often referred to in 'quarters' from the Georgian Quarter to bohemian Ropewalks, Chinatown to Baltic Triangle, the Waterfront to the Cavern Quarter.\n\nOPTIONAL EXCURSION\nSouthport\n(approx. 20 miles north of Liverpool) - Boasting an expansive and beautiful coastline, fun-loving Southport is surrounded by natural beauty and is home to Britain's second longest pier, first opened in 1860 with an original length of 3,600 ft (currently closed). One of Southport's most celebrated sights is Lord Street with its Victorian canopied boulevard edged by scenic gardens.\n\nDay 4 - After breakfast depart for the journey home, arriving back early to mid-evening.\n\n
