Sligo Town

From Strandhill in the South to Mullaghmore in the North, it's a mecca for surfers, and there is no greater base for exploring Leitrim's Glencar Valley including its waterfall and the Dartry Mountains - one of which is synonymous with Sligo: the majestic flat-topped Ben Bulben.

The first Donegal stop on the Wild Atlantic Way's Surf Coast, it has drawn visitors for decades. Located near the N15 road near Ballyshannon, it's a great base for exploring the spectacular scenery surrounding it - including the Slieve League sea cliffs and the Bluestack mountains.\n\nDon't miss - Get some cold water therapy with a swim in one of the two tidal outdoor seawater swimming pools along the Bundoran coastline.
