Description
Our day begins in the traditional market town of Ormskirk. Granted a Royal Charter in 1286 by King Edward I, Ormskirk Market is a popular and well-loved twice-weekly event held in the pedestrianised streets of Ormskirk around the famous Clock Tower. Offering around 100 stalls, it attracts hundreds of shoppers each market day and is renowned for being one of the UK’s oldest and most traditional outdoor markets. We end the day with a visit to Bygone Times in Great Eccleston, a treasure trove of fascinating objects from yesteryear, with furniture, antiques, collectibles, and unique memorabilia, all housed within a converted mill.
