The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an unforgettable occasion, bringing together classic military marching bands, dance and precision displays in one iconic extravaganza! Not only do we experience all the showmanship of this world-famous event, but we also enjoy an excursion to discover the captivating beauty of Loch Lomond, fringed against the border of the Scottish Highlands. Along with the dazzling lakes, remote peaks, and miles of unspoilt scenery, we also stop at the famous marriage hot-spot Gretna Green - with so much included, you won't want to miss this fabulous four-day break.

Includes- Return coach travel- 3 nights at the Castlecary Hotel, near Glasgow (JG3+ rating) with dinner* & breakfast- Admission to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo- Excursion to Loch Lomond (Luss & Balloch)- En-route visit to Gretna Green*Lunch will replace dinner on the day of the Tattoo.Please note: we advise you to be prepared with waterproofs etc. in case of inclement weather during the Tattoo. It will go ahead whatever the weather.This tour is considered unsuitable for those with mobility concerns due to the steep, cobbled incline to Edinburgh Castle and the steps/tiered seating at the Tattoo.

Included ExcursionsRoyal Edinburgh Military TattooAfter breakfast, we have time to spend at leisure. Then after lunch at the hotel, we depart for central Edinburgh where there's free time before making your way to the castle to take your seat for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The show brings together musicians and performers from every part of the world for a fabulous display of international culture. After the performance we travel back to our hotel.Loch LomondWe have a full day to experience Loch Lomond's stunning scenery, along with visits to the enchanting wee villages of Balloch, known as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, and Luss, which boasts prim rows of chocolate-box cottages and one of Loch Lomond's lovely beaches.Gretna GreenOn our way home, we enjoy a stop at the marriage capital of the world, Gretna Green. In this famous village lies the original spot where young eloping couples would marry 'over the anvil' at the Blacksmiths Shop.
