Penrith & The Secrets of Dalemain Mansion

Enjoy a visit to Penrith, a bustling market town, renowned for its wealth of specialist shops offering an interesting choice of goods and fine foods. Sandstone buildings hide intriguing lanes, yards, and alleyways, leading to attractive cottages, gardens, and curious little shops. We continue this afternoon to Dalemain Historic Mansion & Historic Gardens, for a specialist guided tour allowing access to unseen areas of the House, complete with Cream Tea. Hear stories of those who lived and worked at Dalemain in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and see the historic brewery, beer, cellar, rooms, paintings, and other objects usually not on show, and special behind-the-scenes features of the much loved and lived-in family house. Our visit ends with free time to explore the Gardens at your own pace.
