Yorkshire Dales Cruise & Steam
Included Excursions
Skipton Market & Narrowboat Canal Cruise
From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to picturesque Skipton. Here we have time to explore the town's bustling market and the vibrant array of stalls set along cobbled streets which capture Yorkshire's heritage. Then, in the afternoon we enjoy a change of pace, a gentle cruise through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside on a narrowboat along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Later, the coach takes us to our hotel where we check in and enjoy an evening meal.
Embsay-Bolton Abbey Steam Train & Grassington
Today, after breakfast at our hotel, we take a journey on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, a preserved heritage railway that runs for four miles along part of the former Midland Railway route between the award-winning Bolton Abbey station and Embassy station, built in 1888. Both stations offer gift shops and tea rooms and most trains are hauled by beautifully-restored steam engines, the oldest dating back to 1908. Afterwards, we travel by coach to the charming town of Grassington and spend some time shopping, relaxing in a café or sightseeing before continuing our journey home.
