Itinerary
Included ExcursionsLimestone Mines Canal Cruise & Red House Glass Cone Heritage Centre (half day)From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to Dudley where we embark on our 45-minute Limestone Mines cruise and visit the Red House Glass Cone Heritage Centre. The famous Grade II cone structure is just one of four in the UK, built in the 18th century and used to manufacture glass up until 1936. We can enjoy access to the visitor centre and designer-maker studios. Later, we re-join the coach and continue to our overnight hotel.Severn Valley Steam Railway & Bridgnorth (half day)After breakfast, we travel to Kidderminster to spend an enjoyable train journey to Bridgenorth. Relax and unwind as we meander through the 16 miles of countryside and pass through many 'olde worlde' stations between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth (approximately 70 mins). On arrival at Bridgnorth station we reboard our coach to be dropped off in central Bridgenorth. Here we enjoy a few hours exploring this pretty town, notable for its many black and white buildings and historic town hall. We rejoin the coach in the afternoon and continue our journey home.
