Itinerary
Included ExcursionsWest Somerset Railway & Minehead (full day)We board the West Somerset Railway for a nostalgic journey stretching 20 miles from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead. Travelling through the gently rolling Quantock Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we pass unspoilt villages and farms nestling in leafy lanes before following the cliffs and coast between Exmoor and the Bristol Channel with distant views of South Wales. We disembark in the traditional resort of Minehead with its promenade, long sandy beach and harbour, where we have some time to explore at leisure.

Sandringham Hotel (JG2+ rating)
Centrally located on the seafront, the comfortable Sandringham Hotel overlooks the beach and is just a few steps from the Grand Pier. Offering excellent service, this is the perfect base for our itinerary. All bedrooms are en-suite with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee-making facilities. The hotel has a bar/lounge and restaurant.Hotel RatingJG2+ ratingJG2+ rated hotels offer a slightly higher standard of hospitality, often with good home cooking plus enhanced décor, facilities and services, which is recognised and welcomed by our customers. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. They may also enjoy an enviable location and/or higher levels of satisfaction on online hotel rating sites and our own customer feedback surveys.
