FALMOUTH 8 DAYS - MADEIRA HOTEL
Falmouth, the main resort of the South Cornish Riviera, has won popularity with its visitors that extends throughout the year. It boasts one of the highest average sunshine records in Britain, hence the gardens have a profusion of sub-tropical plants. Falmouth has a marvellous harbour for a range of boats from yachts to large ocean going ships, overlooked by Pendennis Castle, one of Henry VIII's forts. Falmouth's historic past is commemorated in its National Maritime Museum, a world class attraction offering unique interactive displays. There are several sandy beaches which are excellent for bathing, the largest is Gyllyngvase which has gorgeous golden sands. Along the main high street there are quaint old shops standing beside famous stores, and as you walk along you will catch glimpses of the colourful harbour through the picturesque alleyways.
