The Tower of London

Join us as we visit the iconic Tower of London and explore central London's most famous medieval castle! You will be able to explore nearly 1000 years of fascinating history, get up close to the crown jewels and meet the legendary Yeoman Warders and Ravens.\n\nThe Tower of London was built by William the Conqueror in the 1080s. After defeating the ruling King, Harold, at the battle of Hastings 1066, William marched into London where he was crowned King William I. As King, he wanted a display of his royal power and wealth, the structure (now known as the White Tower) would have towered over the local wooden huts, quite the status symbol! The tower has served many purposes from Royal Palace, jail to significant political prisoners and royal menagerie. In the present day though, the Tower is famously the most secure vault and home to the priceless Crown Jewels.\n\nBe sure to visit the torture and imprisonment exhibitions while in the Tower which explores the gruesome past within the walls as well as the line of kings where you can marvel at the historic armour of Henry VIII and more.\n\nYour trip will include entrance into the Tower of London followed by free time to explore the area around the Tower.\n\n
