Itinerary
Torquay & the English Riviera
Enjoy four nights by the coast on the English Riviera and unwind at our handpicked hotel, ideally situated in Torquay near the beach and harbour. Surrounded by gorgeous sea views, Torquay is the perfect place to escape for a few days of rest and relaxation, while our included excursions take us to highlights of the region, from pretty Dartmouth to the bustling city of Plymouth.

Torquay & the English Riviera
Included Excursions
Dartmouth (half day)
For our first excursion we spend some time at leisure in the riverside town of Dartmouth. Known as the 'Jewel of the South Hams' and a former home to Agatha Christie, Dartmouth is easily one of Devon's prettiest destinations thanks to its views over the estuary.
Plymouth (full day)
We make our way to Plymouth, with a stop on the way in Moretonhampstead, a picturesque town in Dartmoor National Park. Afterwards, we continue to Plymouth, the vibrant waterfront city known for its university and breathtaking views of the ocean. Enjoy the fresh air and the scenery while you take a stroll around the waterfront and immerse yourself in the city's rich maritime heritage.

Optional Excursion
Dawlish & Teignmouth - £14pp (half day)
Our optional excursion takes us first to Dawlish, a quaint and friendly resort that was once a tiny fishing village until the Victorian Railway Age turned it into a thriving seaside town. It nestles between striking red sandstone cliffs overlooking a sandy beach, with the railway still running right alongside the seafront. We then make our way to Teignmouth, a handsome estuary town which has the benefits of a bustling harbour as well as the classic attractions of a seaside resort. It boasts an elegant Georgian crescent, promenade and Victorian pier with fine views across the bay.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and may have tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. Services may be limited but efficient.

JG3
Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features.
