Itinerary
Included ExcursionsCromer & Sheringham (full day)We first travel to Cromer, a classic resort on the north Norfolk coast famous for its tasty crabs and boasting wide open beaches and a traditional pier. Later we head to the small north Norfolk fishing village of Sheringham, now a popular seaside town with a sandy beach, seafront promenade and a diverse range of shops.Norwich (full day)Our second day out takes us to Norwich, one of the most complete medieval cities in the country. Norwich is steeped in history and atmosphere, with winding lanes lined with period buildings and an imposing Norman cathedral, which boasts the second tallest spire in England. There's also a wealth of museums that offer an insight into the royal legacy with venues such as Norwich Castle, originally intended to be a royal palace when it was first commissioned around 900 years ago.Optional excursionThe Norfolk Broads (Horning & Wroxham) (£14pp) (half day)On our optional excursion, we travel to lovely Wroxham on the banks of the River Bure. This pretty village has been referred to as 'the capital of the Norfolk Broads' and is surrounded by lush greenery where it's common to see the peaceful sight of boats gliding along the tranquil riverside scenery, complimenting the gentle pace of life of the region. We then follow the river's trail to Horning, a postcard-perfect embodiment of a waterside Norfolk village, complete with heritage buildings, little village shops, tea rooms and pubs that line the northern bank.
