Description
Join us in Liverpool as the Global Phenomenon War Horse returns on a UK Tour.\n\nStep into the heart of one of the most unforgettable stage productions of our time - War Horse. Set against the backdrop of World War I, this extraordinary production tells the powerful story of a young boy, Albert, and his beloved horse, Joey. When Joey is sold to the cavalry and shipped off to the frontlines, Albert embarks on a journey to reunite with him.
Combining the power of human drama with groundbreaking puppetry, War Horse brings to life a tale of loyalty, courage, and the enduring bond between a boy and his horse. The life-size, breath-taking puppets, created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company, are so lifelike you'll forget they aren't real.
Don't miss your chance to experience this multi-award-winning spectacle live in Liverpool. Whether you've read the book or seen the film, seeing War Horse on stage is an entirely different, heart-stirring experience. A must-see event!

Right on the shore of Windermere
The tiny town of Bowness-on-Windermere - not to be confused with Windermere town, is right on the shore of the largest lake in the Lake District, and England: Windermere. It sprung up after the opening of the railway line from Oxenholme and Kendal to Windermere in 1847 - because it was the nearest accessible point to the lake.\n\n
A great base for exploring The Lake District
Busy year-round, there are regular ferries departing from the tourist town and crossing the large lake. Only a short walk will take you to Orrest Head, the first 'summit' Alfred Wainwright visited in his book 'Lakeland'. Also found in Bowness - see the famous characters from Beatrix Potter's famous books come to life at The World of Beatrix Potter, a must-see attraction for the whole family.
