Description
Head to St Agnes in glorious Cornwall, the beautiful peninsular that tumbles into the Atlantic Ocean. This holiday sees you exploring the quaint towns and picturesque fishing villages including Port Isaac in North Cornwall which played the fictional village of Portwenn in the much-loved Doc Martin TV series. You'll also see some of the other locations where cameras rolled. Enjoy this popular short break, staying in a favourite Crusader Hotel in this beautiful region which also doubled as Nampara Valley in the TV show, Poldark. Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head down to St Agnes for a 3 or 4 night stay with suitable stops en-route. DBB\n\nDay 2 - 3 (or 4) - At leisure in St Agnes with two or three included excursions\nDuring your stay at the hotel, there will be a sherry reception\nMarch - There will be a cream tea one afternoon as well as a complimentary glass of wine with the last night dinner\nNovember - There will be a visit form Santa as well as mince pies on the last night\n\nINCLUDED EXCURSIONS\nTruro & Falmouth (All tours)\nEnjoy a full day tour to the city of Truro and the south coast resort of Falmouth. Few seaside towns in Cornwall boast such an arresting location as Falmouth, overlooking the broad Fal River as it empties into the English Channel. Surrounded by green hills and blue sea, Falmouth is an appealing jumble of lanes, old pubs, slate roofs and trendy cafes. Elegant Truro is Cornwall's only city - a great little city with an impressive Gothic Cathedral which was only completed in 1910, making it the first cathedral built in England since St Paul's. Inside, the vast nave contains some fine Victorian stained glass.\n\nDoc Martin Guided Tour (All tours)\nIn the company of a knowledgeable local guide, explore Doc Martin country and filming locations. Head to the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac, known in the popular TV drama as the community of Portwenn which is the backdrop of the majority of the filming locations including Doc Martin's house and the village surgery. Fern Cottage is one of the most recognisable Doc Martin locations and draws fans from all over the world keen to get a shot of Doctor Ellingham's surgery.\n\nSt Ives (November tour only) \nSt Ives is a the dazzling jewel in Cornwall's crown - a picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town, a haven for artists, holidaymakers and anyone who appreciates just how breathtaking England's coast can be. Boasting gorgeous sandy beaches, delightful fishermen's cottages, cobbled streets and an array of wonderfully enticing boutique and independent shops, visitors are sure to enjoy exploring this pretty Cornish port. Once a busy pilchard harbour, St Ives later became the centre of Cornwall's arts scene in the 1920s and '30s, when luminary figures such as Barbara Hepworth arrived in search of artistic freedom. St Ives still retains its artistic connections with numerous galleries including the renowned Tate St Ives.\n\nReturn Day- It's farewell to Cornwall as you head for home today. Travel back to interchange with suitable refreshment stops en-route to arrive back at your home towns early evening.

\n\nAn elegant Georgian residence dating back to the 18th century is now a popular, family run 3* hotel set in secluded gardens and woodland 100 yards from St. Agnes village centre. \n\nThe en-suite rooms feature a TV with telephone, hairdryers and tea / coffee making facilities. \n\nThe hotel has no lift but there are a limited number of ground floor rooms. \n\nThere is free WiFi in the public areas, a choice of cosy lounges, a well stocked bar and an excellent restaurant
