Description
Royal Ascot is the premier sporting and social event in the summer calendar and is famed worldwide for its glamour, elegance and high-class racing action. During the third week in June, tradition, pageantry, fashion and style come together in a glorious confection at one of the most beautiful racecourses in the country. As one of the most prestigious and historic race meetings in the world, Royal Ascot's unique atmosphere is not to be missed!
So join us on Gold Cup Day (colloquially known as Ladies' Day) to see top-class thoroughbreds and world-famous jockeys compete in six races, including the legendary Gold Cup itself. We also experience Royal Ascot's unique focus on style, and although the whole week of Royal Ascot is a fashion show like no other, it is Thursday when the designer creations reach their zenith, and the elegance of the ladies' outfits is matched only by the flair of their hats!

Info
Important InformationThe Windsor Enclosure is an informal area of Royal Ascot, but many racegoers choose to dress smartly for the occasion and this is encouraged. Replica sports shirts, fancy dress, novelty and branded or promotional clothing are not permitted. The Queen Anne Enclosure ticket gives access to the Lower Grandstand, lawns and concourse. The Parade Ring and track are both within a short walking distance. Before the racing each day a military band will perform in the Parade Ring. Here the dress code is more prescriptive; men are required to wear a suit, shirt and tie, and ladies must wear smart, modest clothing with a hat, headpiece or fascinator. Very revealing or transparent clothing is not permitted; please see the Ascot Racecourse website for more detailed information www.ascot.com.
