Included ExcursionsSkipton Market & Grassington (full day)We tour the stunning Yorkshire Dales, calling first at the market town of Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Dales, with a grand medieval castle as its centrepiece. We have time to browse the award-winning market, which still operates under a charter granted by King John over 800 years ago. We then continue to the charming village of Grassington, with its striking surroundings, bustling square, traditional old stone buildings and quirky shops.York (full day)We travel to the scenic city of York. Make time for York Minster, wander through the 'Shambles', a warren of narrow streets and overhanging buildings dating back to medieval times, or take a stroll around the ancient walls which surround the city. No trip to York is complete without a visit to the famous Betty's tea rooms, where you can indulge in their legendary afternoon tea.Optional ExcursionKnaresborough & Harrogate (£15pp) (full day)For our optional excursion, we head to the picturesque market town of Knaresborough, built in the gorge of the River Nidd, with its cobbled streets, iconic viaduct and the castle ruins that tower above the town. We travel on to the elegant spa town of Harrogate, where notable sights include the Royal Pump Room and the attractive Montpellier Quarter with its pedestrianised streets lined with 19th-century buildings that are now home to galleries, boutiques and cafés.

The town offers a brilliant range of shops and boutiques on the famous Commercial Street such as White Rose Sewing, The Cheeseboard, Miss Claire Rose and The Crown Jewellers of Harrogate for you to enjoy as well as a fantastic range of restaurants and bars. The quaint streets are also dotted with quirky galleries and museums exploring the history of Harrogate.
