Newquay, the Eden Project, Land's End & Penzance - JG Explorer
Included Excursions
Land's End & Penzance (full day)
Today we start the day with a trip to Land's End, the breathtaking headland on the Penwith peninsula, located at the westernmost point of mainland Cornwall. Here, the rugged cliffs rise majestically above the Atlantic Ocean, offering visitors panoramic views that stretch to the horizon.
This iconic landmark is steeped in history and legend, with its name signifying the literal end of the land in Old English. It's a place where the beauty of nature is on full display, from the wildflowers decorating the coastal paths to the dramatic sunsets that paint the sky. It is a truly wonderful sight to behold and an unforgettable experience.
Afterwards, we head to one of the most famous towns in Cornwall. Penzance, nestled in a sheltered position in beautiful Mounts Bay. The town still holds all the charms of a bygone age, with an attractive seafront promenade, sub-tropical gardens and a stunning view of the castle at St Michael's Mount.
The Eden Project (full day)
Built into the Cornish countryside, the Eden Project is often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. This extraordinary place offers a deep dive into the world of plants and how they shape our lives. Housed within massive Biomes, the Eden Project simulates different environmental conditions, showcasing an incredibly diverse collection of flora from around the globe. From the steamy rainforests to the fragrant Mediterranean, the Eden Project is not just a feast for the senses but also an educational journey that emphasises the importance of sustainable living and environmental conservation.

Optional Excursion
Padstow (£12pp) (half day)
Our optional excursion takes us to the charming fishing town of Padstow, nestled on the picturesque coast. Known for its quaint harbour, exceptional seafood, and beautiful surrounding landscapes, Padstow is a popular destination with food lovers. The town is also renowned for its harbour, a working port from where you can enjoy some stunning, peaceful views while indulging in a traditional Cornish pasty or two!
