ItineraryDay 1Ferry to Calais and overnight stay in France on a bed and breakfast basis.Day 2Continue to our hotel in Diano Marina.Day 3 - ImperiaWe spend a few hours in the pretty town of Imperia, renowned for its cultivation of olives and flowers. Shady trees and ancient buildings line the cobbled streets while the Old Town has many interesting shops that sell antiques, handicrafts and locally-made artefacts.Day 4 - Day at leisureWe enjoy a day of leisure in Diano Marina, where it's market day - the perfect opportunity to browse for souvenirs and gifts.Day 5 - Optional excursion to Santa Margherita Ligure & Portofino (£29pp)On our optional excursion, we join a boat trip from Santa Margherita Ligure, a lovely port town with a castle and 13th-century basilica, to Italy's most sophisticated resort, Portofino. Famed for its picturesque harbour crammed with expensive yachts and lined with pastel-coloured houses, it also boasts a medieval castle perched on a hill above the town.Day 6 - Monaco & Monte CarloWe head to the tiny principality of Monaco, the well-known residential area of Monte Carlo. Home to a historic casino, and many rich-and-famous residents, Monaco is less than a square mile in size but brims with glitz and glamour! There's much to explore including a bustling marina, a stunning royal palace and fantastic shops.Day 7 - NiceWe spend the day in the picturesque coastal city of Nice. Set on a beautiful bay, this lovely resort offers a pretty seafront promenade, atmospheric Old Town and plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants.Day 8Travel to our overnight hotel in France, with a light evening meal included.Day 9Continue to Calais for our return ferry home.
Monaco & Monte Carlo
Enjoy the fashionable resorts of Monaco and Monte Carlo with a picturesque harbour and glamorous yachts, beautiful Royal Palace and famous Casino Square. During our free time in glittering Monaco sit back, relax and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of this spectacular Riviera resort. Monte Carlo is situated on a prominent escarpment at the base of the Maritime Alps along the French Riviera. Near the western end of the quarter is the world-famous Place du Casino, the gambling centre. The eastern part of the quarter includes the community of Larvotto with Monaco's only public beach.Monte CarloWorld famous as a place of glitz and glamour, Monte Carlo attracts the rich and famous, and the super rich (!) due to its favourable tax laws and fabulous position on the sophisticated Mediterranean coast, in easy reach of Cannes, Nice and St. Tropez. nnResidents include the likes of Bono, Lewis Hamilton and Roger Moore as well as the ruling Grimaldi family who live in the Palace of Monaco high above Monte Carlo marina.See more.

Located on the stunning French Riviera, the city of Nice is renowned for its beautiful beaches, azure waters and year-round sunshine. Take the chance to wander along the iconic seafront, the Promenade des Anglais, venture up to Castle Hill for incredible views over Old Nice and the port, or treat yourself to some traditional French specialties in one of the many cafés.
