Charming Chester, Tatton Park & Horse Drawn Canal Cruise
Included Excursions
Chester
We make our way to the medieval city of Chester, famed for its beautiful black and white Tudor buildings and unique 'rows' where the picturesque galleries run above the central shops. Take time to explore some great sights of the city, such as the town hall and the Norman-era cathedral or refresh yourself at a selection of bars and restaurants.
Mold, Llangollen & Horse Drawn Canal Cruise
Nestled along the banks of the River Alyn and surrounded by the beautiful Clwydian Range mountains, Mold is a characterful historic market town. Today we explore the various market stalls that line the high street and Daniel Owen Square, selling a range of goods, from clothes, crockery and plants to fresh fruit, vegetables and speciality cheeses, as we soak up the vibrant and warm community spirit.
We then journey to Llangollen via Horseshoe Pass, taking in beautiful scenic views of the rolling Welsh hills and mountains. The unspoilt beauty of Llangollen is simply captivating and the river is a haven of activity. The town offers plenty of quirky boutiques and independent shops along its Victorian Promenade, and waterside walks with exquisite surrounding countryside. We take a horse-drawn canal trip down this 11-mile UNESCO World Heritage Site - the perfect way to soak up the peace and tranquillity of the town and its beautiful waterways.
Tatton Park
We make our way to one of Britain's most well-known and historic estates, Tatton Park. Our visit today provides plenty of time to explore the Neo-classical mansion and 50-acre gardens. Wildlife is abundant at Tatton Park, and throughout its extensive grounds, you will find deer in the 100 acres of deer park and rare breeds at the farm.
