Don't forget to sample the world-beating fish and chips, fresh from the harbour\n\nBeverley\nHead through the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds to East Riding's most attractive town, Beverley, a bustling market town which is full of Georgian character, charming streets and courtyards. Beverley's famous market dates back centuries and is a vital part of community life. It is held in the town centre on Wednesdays and offers a friendly atmosphere and a vibrant mix of stalls, selling food from around the world, fruit, vegetables, freshly baked goods, arts and crafts and clothing. The landmark Gothic Beverley Minster complete with 13th century stone carvings and stained glass, dominates the skyline. Its impressive proportions and historic significance are best appreciated from inside.
