You'll travel through a spectacular landscape of mountains, steep-sided lochs, and heather moors, through the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and high up to Rannoch Moo & Glenco, through remote wilderness and on to Fort William.nnThe Cruachan Visitor Centre and Hollow Mountain - Experience the great machine hall a kilometre inside the solid rock of Ben Cruachan on a guided tour of the power station. Your guided tour takes you into the mountain where you can hear the story of the power station - from its initial construction to its current role generating electricity on demand for Scotland. Cruachan Dam is a marvel of engineering in a spectacular location on the slopes of Ben Cruachan. The buttress-style dam is 316 metres long and 46 meters high at its tallest point abd contains 10 million cubic metres of water. - Please Note: Cruachan Power Station is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users and may be unsuitable for persons with limited mobility.nnThe Caledonian Claymore Hotel - The Claymore Hotel is a beautiful manor house in Arrochar, a picturesque village in the popular holiday destination of Argyll and Bute, one of Scotland's most naturally diverse locations. Oban

Oban and neighbouring Lorn have a long and interesting history which began in the Dark Ages with kings and chiefs building castles and forts along the coast. In 500AD a powerful Irish Lord named Loairn established his Kingdom just outside Oban at Dunollie and gave his name to the district.

A traditional Scottish welcome!nThe Caledonian Claymore Hotel was designed and built in the 19th century. The beautiful manor house has 86 rooms, many of which look out onto the grounds surrounding the historic property - lush gardens overlooking Loch Long with a backdrop of mountains (you might even spot some deer). The traditionally furnished and cosy hotel joined the Caledonian family in August 2023, as did their General Manager Gary and his excellent team of staff, so guests can look forward to continued exceptional service.

Based at the foot of the 'Arrochar Alps' on the shores of the tidal sea water Loch Long - it's only a few miles from Loch Lomond (the largest lake in the UK).
