Itinerary
Description
Treat yourself to a break away to the Isle of Wight for a fun weekend of sightseeing and entertainment by the bucket (and spade) load! With dramatic white cliffs, pretty resorts and tranquil sand dunes aplenty, the isle received Queen Victoria's nod of approval in the 19th century and still proves to be one of the UK's favourite seaside destinations today. There's also a fabulous drinks offer at our hotel and excursions to Newport and Ryde to enjoy.

Itinerary (Coach)
Day 1From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and travel onwards to our hotel.\n\nDay 2 - Newport & RydeOn our delightful excursion, we head first to the island's bustling capital, Newport. This lovely town centres on two squares with elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture surrounding them. We can explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of specialty shops here. We continue on to the seaside resort of Ryde with its long stretch of golden sand, pretty esplanade, marina and beautiful gardens.\n\nDay 3 - Optional excursion to Cowes, Yarmouth & Ventnor - £14ppOur optional excursion takes us first to Cowes, home to the world-famous regatta. Many of the town's ornate buildings date from Queen Victoria's time and are in the style popularised by her consort Prince Albert. Next is the historic port town of Yarmouth which contains some of the oldest architecture on the island including a 16th-century castle. Finally, we visit Ventnor, a pretty resort built on a series of terraces.\n\nDay 4After breakfast we check out of the hotel and make our way home.
