Description
We head to Barton Grange Garden Centre where we board a luxury widebeam canal boat, The Kingfisher, for a relaxing two-hour cruise with an included lunch of Fish & Chips. The cruise travels through the scenic north Lancashire countryside, with lovely views of the Bowland Hills. Kingfishers, cormorants and abundant wildlife can often be seen in the area. There is a licensed bar on board serving a range of hot, cold, soft and alcoholic beverages and there is also a toilet on-board. After the cruise has returned, we have a couple of hours to explore Barton Grange Garden Centre, offering tons of inspirational ideas for your garden, decorative homeware, gifts, and more. Please advise us if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Accessibility: To access the boat, you step across from the towpath onto the boat. Then to reach the main body of the boat you go down a fairly narrow passageway with handrail and approximately 5 steps. Once in the main body of the boat, you will be seated and, if booked in advance, the seats closest to the entrance can be requested. Crewmembers will be available to assist with boarding. Unfortunately, due to the design of the boat, we can’t accommodate permanent wheelchair users. If, however, the person is able to walk a short distance with assistance, and has a foldable chair, we can help them with boarding and store the chair for them. We can also store foldable walking frames, or those which are not too large as to restrict access for other passengers as space is limited on board. There is an accessible toilet on board, situated close to the entrance. If required, we can reserve the table/s closest to the entrance for a particular person/group.
