Itinerary
Description
Join us for Christmas in Hampshire, the perfect blend of city, coast and countryside. Experience the golden age of steam on the heritage Isle of Wight Steam Railway, explore the idyllic New Forest and enjoy the traditional atmosphere of ever-popular Bournemouth - who said Christmas had to be filled with cooking and washing up?!

Itinerary
23rd DecemberAfter joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.\n\nChristmas Eve - Bournemouth & the New ForestOur day begins with a trip to the seaside as we visit the traditional resort of Bournemouth. Boasting seven miles of golden sands and a historic pier, this is the perfect place for a stroll to blow away the cobwebs!Later, we travel back to the hotel via the idyllic New Forest, England's smallest National Park, famous for its tranquil ambience and free roaming ponies. We stop en-route in the pretty village of Brockenhurst with its olde-worlde charm, independent shops and quaint cafés.\n\nChristmas DayChristmas Day is a lovely day of celebration as our hotel provides a hearty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by Christmas cake, tea and coffee plus a light buffet dinner in the evening.\n\nBoxing Day - The Isle of Wight Steam Railway Today we take a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight, where we can soak up the sights and sounds of steam travel aboard a beautifully restored Victorian train. Keep an eye out for red squirrel and deer as we pass through idyllic forests and ancient woodland.\n\n27th DecemberAfter breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.

JG3
Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
