Being one of the best-preserved medieval towns in England has its perks; there is layer upon layer of age-old sites and streets filled with historic inns, quaint antique emporiums and charming half-timbered buildings bursting with character. Later, we enjoy our New Year celebrations at the hotel, including a Hogmanay buffet dinner.\n\nNew Year's Day - CanterburyWe kickstart the brand-new year with a trip to Canterbury; a rich mosaic of meandering little alleyways, a world-famous cathedral and plenty of medieval architectural leftovers. Spend the day exactly as you please, whether it's discovering the majestic city walls or enjoying a revitalising stroll through the riverside gardens, the choice is yours. This evening we enjoy the chef's buffet dinner back at the hotel.\n\n2nd JanuaryAfter breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
