You'll find designer boutiques in King Street, plus a Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in Exchange Square. Once the site of the Manchester docks, it was upgraded as part of a massive urban regeneration project, resulting in the contemporary waterfront we see today and is home to some fabulous attractions including The Lowry theatre, the Imperial War Museum North and the northern hub for both ITV and the BBC. The Quayside outlet mall provides more retail therapy opportunities but be sure to put your feet up in the myriad bars and restaurants - perfect for people watching along the glistening waterfront!
