23rd DecemberAfter joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.Christmas Eve - Skipton & GrassingtonWe travel into the heart of Yorkshire, stopping first at the gateway to the Dales, Skipton, a historic town with a grand medieval castle at its centre. We continue on to the charming village of Grassington with its stunning surroundings, bustling cobbled square, beautiful stone buildings and quirky shops.Christmas DayChristmas Day is a chance to relax at our hotel and, of course, indulge in a festive lunch with all the trimmings followed by Christmas cake, tea and coffee. A light buffet dinner is served in the evening.Boxing Day - YorkWe visit historic York, where we can wander the narrow cobbled streets with their distinctive overhanging buildings or spend some time in the city's beautiful Norman Minster, which boasts some of the finest stained-glass windows in the world. Alternatively, why not take a stroll around the city walls that have stood since Roman times and wrap around the city for 2.5 miles or visit the famous Betty's tea rooms?27th DecemberAfter breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
