Itinerary
Included Excursions\n\n\nChester (full day)\n\nOn our first full-day excursion, we travel to Chester, famed for its beautiful black and white Tudor buildings and unique 'rows' where the picturesque galleries run above the central shops. The most prominent buildings in the city centre include the town hall and cathedral, formally the church of St Werburgh's Abbey, dating back to the Norman era.\n\n\nMold & Llangollen Horse Drawn Canal (full day)Today we journey to Mold in Flintshire. Our first town of the day, Mold is steeped in history, changing ownership between England and Wales more than once. Located near the Clwydian Range of mountains, the surrounding landscape is breathtaking. Today is market day and we can browse the stalls for handcrafted trinkets and bespoke gifts and have plenty of time to explore the local shops, tea rooms and museums.\n\nNext, we travel to Llangollen via Horseshoe Pass, also known as, 'Pass of the Cold Stream,' a mountain pass that separates Llantysilio Mountain to the west and Marilyn Cryn-y-Brain to the east. The pass is known to cyclists as one of the most spectacular routes to ride- but no peddling is required, we can sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic views! On arrival in Llangollen, there is time to explore before or after our two-hour horse Drawn Canal Cruise, a tradition enjoyed for over 100 years, there is nothing quite like watching the scenery go by on the peaceful and tranquil waters.\n\n\nTatton Park (full day)\n\nWe make our way to one of Britain's most well-known and historic estates, Tatton Park. Our visit today provides plenty of time to explore the Neo-classical mansion and 50-acre gardens. Wildlife is abundant at Tatton Park, and throughout its extensive grounds, you will find deer in the 100 acres of deer park and rare breeds at the farm.
