Our day begins with an included visit to Stokesay Castle, a survivor of 700 years of border and civil wars and the best fortified manor house in Britain. Please note: There are many, small and uneven stairs throughout castle to negotiate and no lift access. We then continue to the market town of Ludlow for free time this afternoon. The historic town centre, and the imposing 11th-century castle, are situated on a cliff above River Teme, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh Marches.

Shrewsbury & Cruise
Our day begins with a visit to Shrewsbury, packed with timber-framed black & white buildings and tempting shops amongst narrow alleyways. Here we include a tranquil river cruise, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of River Severn and its wildlife.

Ironbridge Gorge
We head to the impressive Ironbridge Gorge where the world's first iron bridge, designed by Thomas Telford, forms the centre of this World Heritage Site. Admission to the Museum of the George is included, where you can learn a brief insight into life at the dawn of the industrial revolution.Mercure Telford Hotel
