Nestling on the North West coast of Scotland, amid the rugged coastlines and mountainous backdrops of Wester Ross, the small town of Gairloch is the principal holiday centre, spread around a beautiful sandy bay with wonderful views across to the nearby islands. From here the unique scenery of the North West Highlands and the magical Isle of Skye wait to be explored with unforgettable memories to behold.

Excursions
SUNDAY: From local departure points we head towards our overnight stop in the north.
MONDAY: After an early start we cross the border and head towards the far north to reach Gairloch.
TUESDAY: A day to relax and enjoy the idyllic village of Gairloch with its far reaching views of the islands.
WEDNESDAY: An exciting day today as we head along the shores of Loch Maree and across the exhilarating landscapes of Wester Ross before crossing the Skye Road Bridge to reach the Isle of Skye, a unique isle of myths and legends. We take time to enjoy the island where we are treated to some magnificent scenery before we visit the island's capital, Portree.
THURSDAY: This morning to Inverewe Gardens, a horticultural oasis in the North West Highlands before we take a scenic journey by the remote Destitution Road. We pass lonely bays and empty beaches to reach the harbour town of Ullapool. Developed as a trading post to the Outer Hebrides, it has a timeless, peaceful quality at the mouth of Loch Broom.
FRIDAY: We head south to our final night in the north of England.
SATURDAY: Our tour draws to a close as we head home.

Joining Your Grand UK Coach Holiday
For 2024 we have introduced improvements to our network of local pick up points across the eastern, central and southern England, aimed at shortening your journey times and getting you away on holiday more easily and conveniently, meaning an altogether more relaxing start. We now have two pick up regions so your travel days will be more convenient, providing more efficient journeys, meeting your tour manager and fellow travellers earlier and in most cases arriving in resort earlier, please refer to our Pick-ups section below for more details.
The Tour Ref below indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.

Traveling from Departure Area A: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Northampton Services on the M11, at junction 15A.
Traveling from Departure Area B: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services, M40, junction 2.
