Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Cragside House & Gardens, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Bamburgh & Bamburgh Castle
Among the rolling hills of the Cheviots and the valley of the River Tyne lies some of the finest gardens in the country. First we visit the award winning Alnwick Castle & Gardens - the vision and triumphal achievement of the Duchess of Northumberland. Here the amazing gardens and water features surrounding the majestic castle are almost as well known for being a TV and film location as they are for being a popular tourist attraction. We also explore Cragside House and Gardens, the creation of Lord Armstrong and the first house to have electricity, set amid wonderful formal and rock gardens, lakes and woodlands.
**Please note it is a condition of travel with Grand UK, for all passengers to hold valid travel insurance for the duration of their tour.**
