Beautiful medieval squares lit with colourful lights, pleasant shopping at the typical Christmas market or in the magically decorated shopping streets, skating on the ice rink, or just enjoy the atmosphere in the many restaurants and cafes with nice food and hot chocolate! Colourful lights illuminate festive stalls on the Grote Market and Simon Stevinplein crammed with Christmas goodies, where shoppers can browse tables laden with elegantly-packaged chocolates, brightly-coloured sweets and unusual hand-made decorations. Your included excursion to Brussels will round this festive weekend off nicely.

Crusader Holidays uses an interchange system, taking place at either Beaconsfield Services (M40), South Mimms Services (M25/A1M) or Thurrock Services (M25).

Here you may have to change to your holiday coach and we are renowned for ensuring that this is smooth and efficient.

The holiday coaches typically depart from Beaconsfield Services at 11.15, Thurrock Services at around 09.30 and South Mimms Services at 10.30. Some customers find it more convenient to join direct at the interchange, please let is know when booking if this is the case.

Your Itinerary
DAY 1 After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continuing the short distance to Belgium and onto your hotel in Bruges for a 3 night stay with buffet breakfast

DAY 2 - 3 At leisure in Bruges with one included excursion Spend a full day at leisure in Bruges, browsing the Christmas market stalls, on the main square, forming a ring around an open-air ice rink. Soak up the festive spirit, exploring the town at your own pace. During your stay your driver will advise the locations of The Choco Story and the Brewery

The Winter Wonders event takes place in the Grand-Place and around the Bourse, the Place de la Monnaie, the Place Sainte-Catherine and the Marché aux Poissons. Enjoy the atmosphere of more than 200 chalets, fairground attractions - ferris wheel, merry-go-rounds, a covered ice rink for skating (Place de la Monnaie) and a Christmas tree and sound and light show on the Grand-Place

DAY 4 Late morning, travel back through Belgium and France to Calais for your return to England.Le Bois de Bruges Hotel, Bruges

The 4* Bois de Bruges Hotel is well situated in the centre of Bruges next to 't Zand square, just a 10 minute walk to the main square. Contemporary styled guestrooms have been recently renovated and offer free WiFi, flat screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities and in-room safe. Most rooms have walk-in showers and singles are doubles for sole use. Buffet breakfast is available in The Greenery, a bright atrium area and there is a lobby bar as well as the Morning Star bistro restaurant. The pavement terrace overlooks the lively 't Zand square.
