A sprinkling of Irish magic awaits on this delightful four-day break in the heart of the Emerald Isle. Enjoy a stay at our popular hotel where we learn how to pull the perfect pint of Guinness, plus a lovely itinerary that explores some of the beautiful highlights of this storied landscape, including the famously friendly city of Dublin and Avoca village, the filming location for the BBC drama, Ballykissangel.

Itinerary
ItineraryDay 1We catch the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin and continue onwards to our hotel in Enniscorthy, our base for the next three nights.Day 2 - WexfordToday we travel to the county town of Wexford on the mouth of the picturesque River Slaney. This charming town holds plenty of fascinating sights, from the well-preserved ancient West Gate Tower to the beautiful ruined Selskar Abbey which stands on the site where the first Anglo-Irish peace treaty was signed. Here we take the opportunity to wander through the narrow streets or enjoy true Irish hospitality in the many bars and restaurants in the relaxed atmosphere of this delightful town.Day 3 - Dublin (with optional guided tour £20pp)Today we travel to the medieval city of Dublin. Once Europe's fifth largest city with a history that stretches back over a thousand years, Dublin is now one of the most vibrant cities in the world with museums, art galleries, wonderful architecture and numerous friendly pubs serving up the perfect pint of Guinness. We also have the option to join a locally guided tour of the city to get to know Dublin's wonderful architecture and fascinating past.Day 4 - AvocaWe check out of our hotel and travel along the mountain pass of Sally Gap, through the quaint town of Laragh to the small town of Avoca, the filming location of the popular TV series Ballykissangel, before we catch the ferry back to Holyhead. On arrival in Holyhead, we continue our journey home.

Dublin
The fair city of Dublin is a beautiful medieval city, with a long and colourful past - its museums, art galleries and wonderful architecture, all chronicling its fascinating history.
Tracing its origins back to a small Viking settlement, it has much history to offer its visitors. See the Book of Kells, written around 800AD, one of the most beautifully illustrated manuscripts in the world or visit the many castles in the area.

Wexford
The county town of Wexford sits at the mouth of the picturesque River Slaney and is home to plenty of historic delights. The well-preserved West Gate Tower is the only remaining ancient gateway to the town and the beautiful ruined Selskar Abbey stands on the site where the first Anglo-Irish peace treaty was signed. Wander through the narrow streets, enjoy true Irish hospitality in the many bars and restaurants, or sit back and revel in the relaxed atmosphere of this delightful town.
