Nestled at the foot of the South Downs and part of the historic Sussex Coastline, Eastbourne is an increasingly popular holiday resort with new and returning holiday makers. It's beautiful backdrop of the white cliffs of Beachy Head and its many attractions including beautiful gardens, busy seafront bandstand and Victorian pier provide a perfect combination of stunning surroundings and plenty of entertainment. Everything is in level reach of the seafront and the town centre is just a stones throw from its centrally located pier.
Itinerary
Arrival Day: After joining the coach via one of our departure points or our executive Door2Door service, you will be introduced to your professional driver and whisked away in comfort to elegant Eastbourne. We aim to arrive for between 3-4pm so that you can relax before your evening meal and settle down for your first night.
Full Day Excursion: After breakfast we head out for our full day excursion, journeying west to Brighton; one of Europe’s most animated, bold and creative cities. Nestled between the South Downs and south coast, Brighton offers a mix of Regency heritage and seaside delights making a perfect day to remember. Early afternoon we head on a truly beautiful drive along the Sussex Heritage Coast and through the Seven Sisters Country Park to Beachy Head, the home of the striking white chalk cliffs with views that will take your breath away. Whilst here why not visit the lighthouse and countryside centre or enjoy a tipple in the Beachy Head pub before we head back to Eastbourne.
Free Day in Resort: Free time to explore and enjoy your holiday resort of Eastbourne. Relax and enjoy the facilities at your hotel or take a walk along the promenade and admire the pretty carpet gardens or catch a show at the bandstand.
Full Day Excursion: Today we journey first to the market town of Rye. Once surrounded by sea, this fortified hilltop town played an important role in the defence of the south coast of England. Nowadays the river that remains is home to the pretty local fishing fleet. The town boasts an abundance of living history in its ancient buildings, cobbled streets and secret passages and today see’s its streets come alive with the traditional 150 year old market. After lunch, we head back along the coast for an afternoon in Hastings. A stunning, history rich cosmopolitan town, home to the largest beach-launched fishing fleet in Europe, the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror.nd a strong local arts community.
7 day holidays will have an extra excursion to the ‘Jewel in the Weald’ the Cinque Port of Tenterden and the attractive town of Battle, named after the Battle of Hastings.
Departure Day: Departure Day - Make the most of the wonderful food that is on offer for breakfast this morning. After a fabulous holiday, it's time to bid farewell to your hosts and Eastbourne for your journey home, taking wonderful memories with you.
