Affectionately known as Alpha Charlie, it was the second Concorde to be delivered to British Airways in 1976. Considered to be the flagship of the famous fleet. Concorde was the world's first supersonic airliner and was in commercial use for 27 years until operations ceased in 2003. On a fully guided tour, stroll underneath the airliner and then climb aboard to sit in the luxury leather seats as your guide tells the story of the aircraft and its ground breaking technology (NB there are 26 steps to climb aboard Concorde with handrails on both sides). Concorde is housed in a hangar, so please dress warmly in case of cold weather. There is a cafe and a unique aviation shop on site.\n\nReturn to the hotel with a stop in the unique waterfront destination of Salford Quays.
