This is your chance to search for the beautiful Northern Lights as part of a lovely two-day adventure in the Highlands! Following a lovely evening meal at The Waterside Hotel, we embark on an evening visit to hunt for the Northern Lights - a natural wonder that has fascinated mankind for millennia. The Northern Lights (also called the Aurora Borealis) are nature's very own theatrical performance. Northern Scotland sits on the same latitude as Stavanger in Norway and Nunivak Island in Alaska which are both hotspots for spotting the Northern Lights, so you're in with a real chance of seeing the 'Mirrie Dancers' at this time of year. With the assurance of coach travel throughout, one night at the Waterside Hotel and a visit to the wonderfiul Crathes Castle

In the far north-east of Scotland lies the bustling fishing port of Peterhead. With over 400 boats, a thriving daily fish market plus a 100-berth leisure marina it is one of the busiest ports in Europe. Visit the Maritime Heritage Centre and discover the story of the local whalers, sailors and fish folk.nnWhy not venture north to Loch of Strathbeg - a winter home to thousands of swans and wild geese - or south to explore Slains Castle reported to be Bram Stokers inspiration for his famous novel, Dracula.
