YOUR ITINERARY
SUNDAY: From local joining points we head north to our overnight hotel.
MONDAY: Today we drive further north through border country and deep into the heart of the Scottish Highlands to reach our hotel, nestled in the heart of the Highlands.
TUESDAY: A great start to our Scottish rail journeys today as we drive to Inverness and join the scheduled service along the spectacular Kyle Line - with cameras at the ready, sit back and enjoy an enchanting two and a half hour journey as we wind our way across the North West Highlands. Re-joining our coach at the Kyle of Lochalsh, we return through scenic Glen Shiel and via the tranquil shores of Loch Lochy and Loch Laggan.
WEDNESDAY: A short drive takes us to the Highland Folk Museum, Britain's first open air museum with collections reflecting life in Scotland from the 1700s to the mid 1900s. Moving on to Aviemore for some free time we conclude the day with a journey on the Strathspey Railway through the Spey Valley countryside.
THURSDAY: One of the many highlights of our holiday today as we head west to enjoy a ride on the West Highland Railway on one of the most scenic journeys of the world and an unforgettable experience. You can look forward to 'steaming' past the much photographed viaduct at Glenfinnan, the beautiful scenery that surrounds Loch Shiel and Loch Morar as well as enjoying visits to Fort William and Mallaig - the 'Gateway to Skye'.
FRIDAY: Leaving the Highlands behind we head towards border country and onwards to our overnight stop.
SATURDAY: Today we journey south at the end of a truly great journey through Scotland.

For 2024 we have introduced improvements to our network of local pick up points across the eastern, central and southern England, aimed at shortening your journey times and getting you away on holiday more easily and conveniently, meaning an altogether more relaxing start. We now have two pick up regions so your travel days will be more convenient, providing more efficient journeys, meeting your tour manager and fellow travellers earlier and in most cases arriving in resort earlier, please refer to our Pick-ups section below for more details.
The Tour Ref below indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.

Traveling from Departure Area A: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Northampton Services on the M11, at junction 15A.
Traveling from Departure Area B: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services, M40, junction 2.
