Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Glencoe, Fort William, Loch Linnhe, Iona, Isle of Mull
Oban has become one of the major holiday centres in the West Highlands, and deservedly so. There is a superb level esplanade, a whisky distillery and woollen mills, whilst Pulpit Hill affords wonderful views across the Firth of Lorne with some unforgettable sunsets, and just offshore from the town lies the green island of Kerrera which is linked to Oban by passenger ferry. It's a perfect base to tour the amazing west coast with its towering peaks, hidden lochs and spectacular coastal scenery.
**Please note it is a condition of travel with Grand UK, for all passengers to hold valid travel insurance for the duration of their tour.**

SUNDAY: We head towards our overnight stop.
MONDAY: We cross into Scotland before skirting the banks of Loch Lomond and, travelling through some of Scotland's finest scenery, we make our way to Oban.
TUESDAY: A day at leisure.
WEDNESDAY: A very scenic tour today as we take the road through the narrow Pass of Brander and wild Rannoch Moor to descend Glencoe - probably the most spectacular and infamous glen in Scotland - to reach the shores of Loch Linnhe and Fort William. Time for sightseeing at this popular touring centre, which lies below Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, before returning by the Appin shore of Loch Linnhe.
THURSDAY: This morning we cross the Sound of Mull by ferry to the village of Craignure on the Isle of Mull. Touring across the island, we also take the opportunity to visit the small island of Iona, birthplace of Christianity in Scotland and burial place of sixty kings.
