Lake Garda, Verona and The Dolomites

Join us as we head to Riva del Garda for our Lake Garda, Verona, and the Dolomites Tour. This wonderful region offers contrasting landscapes, rolling hills and vineyards to the south with steep mountains and olive groves in the north. Enjoy wonderful Italian hospitality in our 4-star hotel located in the centre of Riva del Garda, overlooking the picturesque harbour, only a few steps from the towns pretty, public gardens, pleasant squares, and pavement cafes. To the north of the lake are the Dolomites, a comparatively undiscovered area of the Brenta Nature Park with many quiet artist towns and an unspoilt landscape, peppered with small lakes. To the south east of the lake is Verona, a magnificent city of World repute, the historic City of Love with a two hour guided walking tour to enhance your visit. Depart Leyland at 06.00am for our journey to Dover with a suitable lunch stop en-route before we take a Short Channel crossing to Calais continue our journey south through the Ardennes and Luxembourg arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay in Metz.

Sunday:
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast, continue our journey through Bavaria, into Austria and around Innsbruck before traversing the Brenner Pass to arrive in Italy's Riva del Garda in time for dinner, with a warm Italian welcome and arrival drink.

Monday:
A full day today to re-charge, relax, enjoy the hotel facilities and explore this magnificent area, there is a bike store 100 yards from the hotel if you fancy a day of cycling.

Tuesday:
Today following breakfast we take a lakeside journey to visit the beautiful lakeside resort of Torbole, the picturesque town of Malcesine, which is dominated by its imposing castle and the small historic town of Sirmione located on the tip of a long peninsula protruding from the southern shore of the lake.

Wednesday:
Today following breakfast to travel to visit Verona, the wonderful; historic city famed as the setting for Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Julie' and renowned for its Roman Amphitheatre. With such a rich history we have added a two-hour walking tour with a knowledgeable guide to enhance our visit, followed by free time to explore.

Thursday:
Following breakfast todays excursion is to the breath-taking Valley of The Lakes and Brenta Nature Park to include visits to Canale, the magical, medieval village between the lake and the Alps, Comano Terme, famous for its thermal baths and clean mountain air and Lake Toblino considered one of the most romantic lakes in Trentino.

Friday:
Check out of our hotel following breakfast, sadly it time to bid farewell to our Italian hosts and Italy. Relax and enjoy the Alpine views as we travel back to Metz for our overnight stat, arriving in time for dinner.

Saturday:
Check out of our overnight hotel following breakfast to commence our journey home, travel to Calais, with a suitable lunch stop en-route, board the ferry for a short crossing to Dover where we will re-join the coach to disembark, continue our journey home with a suitable meal stop en-route.Overnight Hotel, Hotel Ibis Metz Nord, Woippy for 1 night on 8/6/2024 & 14/06/2024
